In current news there's a serial freeway shooter in Phoenix Metropolitan area. My mom has become obsessed with this story. Water cooler gossip at it's finest. She has allowed her obsession to turn into fear, that has consumed her. With all the energy that she's given the story, it's no surprise she ran into a median and caused minor damage to her car. However this incident did not happen on the freeway.. further proving how much time she waste worrying, when in fact she almost caused an accident right in front of her house!
Me personally I don't give the devil a foothold into my life. My mom confuses my confidence with cockiness, or sarcasm. Neither is my intention. I just believe you can't worry and have faith at the same time. You can NOT serve two masters. Matthew 6:24 /Luke 16:13. Double minded person is unstable in all ways. James 1:8 So with a made up mind I proceed in confidence that I belong to the Lord, no weapon formed against me will prosper Isaiah 54:17. I save all my fear for the Lord. And I know to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ 2 Corinthians 5:8.
I believe I still have more soul winning / dominion taking / Kingdom building to do!
